Examples of symbolic calculation with M

M is a free software for symbolic calculations developped by Peter Overmann in Heidelberg. It seems to me that it is very powerfull. Although it is not as fast as FORM, it is a very powerfull tool for High Energy Physics. You can find this software HERE.

In the following, you can find a few examples of what one can do with this software. This examples corresponds to tests that I performed after 1 day learning how to use it.

• Simple benchmark
• Traces of gamma matrices and manipulations
• Another file for computing traces of products of Dirac matrices
• idem with the implementation of the multilinearity of the scalar product and the Levi-Civita pseudo tensor
• Commutators of non-commutative symbols
• Difference of two sets
• Simplification of expressions with some tensors contracted (Library routine which rename dummy indices)
• Calculation of the Higgs Kinetic terms
